Enroll devices

Do not Sign in to the Chrome device before, during or after the enrollment.

Prerequisites

  • A Chrome Kiosk & Signage Upgrade or Enterprise Upgrade license for each device
  • Google account credentials for device enrollment and policies configured in accordance with Configure policies

Prepare the ChromeOS device

  1. Connect a keyboard and mouse to the ChromeOS device
  2. Connect the device to the display
  3. Connect the device to Internet (Wired or Wireless)
  4. Power on the device
  5. Accept terms, updates and similar until you arrive at the login prompt, but DO NOT SIGN IN

Perform Enterprise enrollment

  1. Select Enterprise enrollment, it may be found at the bottom left corner, by pressing Ctrl + Alt +E or by clicking More options on the sign-in dialog.

  2. Input the enrollment credentials in the Enterprise enrollment login dialog (for the organizational unit as prepared in Configure policies)

  3. ChromeOS will automatically fetch all the configured settings and the Smartsign ChromeOS Player and connect to the configured Smartsign server/service.

  4. A Smartsign registration code will appear on screen, use it to add the player in Smartsign.
